Peer learning is an integral component of the Breaking Through Initiative. By providing opportunities for colleges to engage with one another and with experts on topics directly affecting their work, the initiative will accelerate the adoption of successful strategies and maximize learning from mistakes. Peer learning events take place twice per year, as a stand-alone event in April and as part of the National Council for Workforce Education meeting in October. Additional activities may occur throughout the initiative's duration to encourage cross-college information exchanges, including Webinars, Web-based forums, and working groups on particular topics. Tools and resources generated through the work of the community colleges, the peer learning activities, and other sources will be made available as soon as possible through this Web site and BreakThroughs newsletter.
